It all began with our Simplicity Study Group. For five weeks we met during Lent of 2007 to talk about Simplicity. It was not enough! The group that got together did not just want to talk about it, they wanted to do something! So plans began to take shape. All the plans on this page started with a group of people who wanted to do something about Simplicity. We hope our group will grow! Join us and get in on the action.

Pass It On
A Book/Magazine Exchange |
One of the ideas that came out of the Simplicity Study Group was to set up a recycling program for used books. Outside the library, you will find a rack set up with a few books that have already been donated to the project. The plan is for people to bring in books to pass on to someone else. When you are finished reading the book you borrowed, you can return it so that it can be passed on to someone else. If you wish, you can place a piece of paper inside the book with a comment and your name so they will know your thoughts and who last read the book. This may even encourage a discussion when they have finished the book! |
