Worship Opportunities to Serve

Volunteer opportunities during worship

Acolytes
The acolytes at Bower Hill are responsible for lighting the candles at the start of the service and extinguishing them at the close of the service. This symbolizes the light of Christ being present during Worship, and when the candles are extinguished and carried out by the acolytes, it symbolizes the light of Christ going out with us into the world. The acolytes program involves children between the 2nd and 6th grades. If your child is not already part of the program and is interested in joining, please speak with our Director of Music, Jessica Baier.

Coffee Hour Hosting
Each Sunday we have a member host the coffee hour after the 9:30 service. The host’s responsibility is to setup the coffee and tea. The hosts often bring a treat such as sweet rolls, banana bread, etc. Typically, a host will be assigned to a few Sundays a year. If you would like to get on the list to host, please contact Michelle Snyder.
